Many animals of all kinds are being taken away from their home and family(es) to be used in a labrotory for make-up uses, chemicals and many other nefarious tests. Other animals are being abused, neglected, and thrown out on the streets by many nefarious people. These animals did not do anything wrong to have to be treated this way. It is just terrible. By signing this you can save an animals' life from being utilized as a test to see if what the company is generating is safe. Also to save those abused adorable little animals from those extremly nefarious owners (who don't even deserve to be called an offical pet owner.) Don't  let another one add on to the milllions that have already passed. Just sign this petition to save an innocent life. It's that simple.

Letter to
U.S. House of Representatives
U.S. Senate
President of the United States
There are currently about 1,000 chimpanzees in research laboratories today -- most of them are simply being warehoused at great taxpayer expense. Please help them by supporting the Great Ape Protection and Cost Savings Act (H.R.1513 and S.810). This common-sense bill would phase out invasive and unnecessary research on chimpanzees in laboratories in the U.S., retire the more than 500 government owned chimpanzees to sanctuary, and end the breeding of chimpanzees for invasive research. It will also save taxpayers nearly $30 million per year.

Chimpanzees are magnificent, intelligent, and social animals capable of a wide range of emotions. Their complex social and emotional needs simply cannot be met in a laboratory environment, and although they are so much like us, they have repeatedly failed as a research model for human disease.

It is time for the U.S. to join the rest of the developed world by ending the use of these incredible animals in invasive research and giving them the opportunity to live out the remainder of their lives in appropriate sanctuaries.
