TAFE NSW,has cut the Advanced Diploma Visual Arts course at its Lismore campus, and other NSW campuses. This was decided without consultation from the community, staff or students, and comes after Lismore SCU lost the Bachelor Visual Art and Design course last year. This move will damage Lismore's creative artist community, which is a vibrant and diverse cultural asset both economically and psychologically to the north coast region. Lismore needs its artists more than ever in the aftermath of covid lockdowns and catastrophic floods,for the recovery and healing of our town.
