Hello Sault Ste. Marie.  I didn't think this would be needed, however. It has been a terrible year for us all. We have all faced hardships and difficulties in this pandemic. And we as a community have suffered greatly. Addiction and Mental Health goes unrecognized in our city by those in power. Our elected officials have abused their power and ignored their peoples cry for too long. 

In light of the recent news that our city will NOT be receiving a Level 3 Treatment center, I have come to a realization. Our great city has come to the decision to spend money on the "beautification" of James Town and other parts of our city. Yet will not even consider funding any treatment center or anything we have begged for. I petition the city to instead spend on turning James town, not into a grass field and garden, but into the center for recovery. Build a long term treatment center with that money. Let the clients and patients build that garden on their road to recovery. We do not need more flowers and snow hills. We need to end this rampant addiction and crime!

I love this city, it is my home and always will be. I am tired of waking up to the news and seeing kids dead, overdose after overdose, and crime running free as if we have no laws. Please we must come together as a community and stop city council and our Mayor from destroying our city further. I know we can do this. We must fight back. We must stand together.
