As we all know, we are on the verge of a transit strike. Starting Friday morning, there will be thousands of buses without drivers. And hundreds of thousands of people will be stranded at their respective dwellings, incapacitated and suffering from the lack of transit. Millions will flood into the streets demanding the 99 b-line be operational. The protests will turn violent and martial law will be established. Metro Vancouver will fall into utter CHAOS. This is where my cunning solution comes into play. At UBC we have thriving population of trash pandas. However, they do very little to earn their place on campus. They do not pay taxes, they have a highly unstable, economy that revolves around a single resource (hint. it's trash), and their charitable donations are incredibly low. Have you ever seen a racoon donate to cancer or mental health? I sure haven't. Quite frankly they are a burden on society. Hence why they should be enslaved and forced to operate our transit infrastructure. Their intelligence and dexterity has been well-documented and with some coaxing from PRW's (Professional Racoon Wrastlers), they will become excellent drivers.
