NORTH COAST RAIL TRAIL SCOPING MEETING TONIGHT—5:30-7:00pm Santa Cruz Police Station Community Room 155 Center Street Santa Cruz, CA 95060 Please attend TONIGHT'S North Coast Rail Trail Scoping meeting to help ensure input from the North Coast Farmers is carefully considered during the Notice of Preparation (NOP) step in the Environmental Impact Report (EIR) process. The EIR will evaluate the RTC's proposed project, as well as a rail-to-trail (trail-only) alternative at an equal level of detail. The farmers would like the RTC to consider a third option that would be less obtrusive to their fields. Local farmers will be at the meetings to promote a rail-to-trail plan designed to ensure a positive experience for trail users while allowing full access to farming operations. IMPORTANT NOTE: All formal input needs to be provided in WRITING by the end of the 30-day period (Oct 16). The meetings are for information only.
