From the comments that the petition readers have posted, it would seem that Cowra Council Environmental Control Manager (Kate) has responded to their enquiries with some erroneous statements, such as `Rangers have visited regularly and reported that there are no animals present at Camp Kitty and that the photos are old.’ Even if the sole cat was not visible on their visit they must have seen the horse that is grazing there. It is quite large!
It appears that the Council’s Environmental Control Manager is defaming me.
On the day following my last posting, Council Officers arrived at the gate of Camp Kitty at 16.37 hours (that was the time taken from our security camera) they did not exit the vehicle or attempt to enter the property. They turned around and left. The following day a Council vehicle was observed entering the neighbouring property (240 Conimbla Rd.) at approx 9.35 hrs., the vehicle drove up to the rear of that property. No one exited the vehicle, and after a cursory look at Camp Kitty drove away. Again this is captured on my security cameras.
The Council’s Manager has previously attempted to disparage me and I hope the Council will learn from past experiences.
I now publicly ask that the Manager provides documentary evidence of the old photo which she alleges I've used and of the visits where no animal was at the property. The sole cat is NOT an itinerant cat. It is caged into this area and has no means of escape. The gate is securely and heavily padlocked.
Ms Albury owes me an apology for her defamation of me.
I am sure any information she sends to the readers who have posted on my petition page will be relayed by them.
This update photo shows the padlock to Camp Kitty. It was taken 3 days ago. Nights here now falling below freezing, but the solitary cat is still very much alive.
Readers should note that this is what I have had to put up with from day one, misleading statements and casual indifference to the plight of the animal on the part of Cowra Council.
Do not forget this is the same Manager who agreed that Camp Kitty owner Mr. McCudden could keep 33 cats even though he was a known animal abuser!
Shameful conduct on the part of Cowra Council.
