Dear Readers, once again many thanks for your support and the comments in my last update. Virtually everyone was critical of the RSPCA and their attitude to animals. One reader has supported the RSPCA however and he has made the following comments. Firstly that they have limited funds, and also that the RSPCA does not put animals down willy nilly. To comment on those points I refer to the RSPCA NSW own Annual Report (17-18).

Reasons for Euthanasia - Cats/Kittens- Behavioral(933) Infectious (1209) Feral (1678) Medical (970) Organisational(1231)

If those cats that disappeared from Camp Kitty, the almost 200 that the RSPCCA NSW had said there were no welfare issues, I wonder if they were euthanised? Maybe they fell under the Organisational input! But who knows, they could have been euthanised for behavioral issues. I think if I had been locked up in the same conditions that those cats had suffered then I would probably have behavioral issues.

But lets look at other parts of the Animals Annual Report. 31 Inspectors investigated 15451 cases of cruelty leading to 43 successful successful prosecutions. Seems strange that after telling me that there were no welfare issues at Camp Kitty a successful prosecution results for the owner of Camp Kitty when the RSPCA seems to be reluctant to prosecute in many other cases.

What about the RSPCA NSW having limited funds? Once more the RSPCA NSW own figures (see Financial Report).

First off, you must remember the RSPCA NSW is a PUBLIC COMPANY limited by Guarantee. Yes a PUBLIC COMPANY (that is what they say in their Financial Report) so it has income tax to worry about all that sort of thing! They have an ABN Number 87 000 001 641

I have no financial background, so I find that the RSPCA NSW is a Public Company very amazing. I thought that the RSPCA NSW was a charity. I would love for the RSPCA NSW to clarify that point, as up to reading their report I had absolutely no idea of their Public Company status.

Anyway these are the figures. For the year under heading 2018 the COMPANY had a revenue of $32,257,613 with a Government Grant of $1,074,421. Total Assets of $107,506,750.

It appears to me that the RSPCA NSW Company has plenty of funds to deal with cruelty issues, and once more I ask what has happened to all those cats at Camp Kitty?

I advise my readers that I have written to all the Directors of the RSPCA NSW in the past and they did not respond. One Director is also the CEO. He has a Master of Business Management. The more this petition has dragged on I am left wondering what interest the company has in looking after animals and what interest they have in running a multi million dollar industry.

Unfortunately I now think that all my efforts to get those cats at Camp Kitty a decent environment to live their lives in has just resulted in their deaths, because they could have been a profit burden on the RSPCA NSW Company (ABN 87 000 001 641)

I hope they can comment on all the issues I have raised in this update.
