At the end of last week an Animal Welfare van was seen at Camp Kitty (my neighbours property). I do not know if it was to take possession of the `solitary cat’ who has been all alone for over three years now in its pen, or for any cats that may still be in the house.
A trap was seen in the ‘solitary pen’ and this has now gone.
That `solitary cat’ has survived now 3 very cold winters. Has it now been seized and euthanased if the RSPCA NSW has taken possession of it, or will a home be found for it?
I have made offers in the past to find a home for it, but have never had a response to this offer.
The picture I post today is the one I used when if first started the Change.org petition, `Tell the RSPCA NSW That This Is Cruel!’ It was when there were about 200 cats living at Camp Kitty in dire circumstances. The RSPCA NSW said at the time that there were no welfare issues. However soon after the situation was aired on Prime 7 News Animal Welfare vans were seen at Camp Kitty in great numbers (about 10!), and virtually all the cats disappeared.
Is the RSPCA NSW now able to give an update on the situation at Camp Kitty, and also explain what happened to all those cats that have been seized from this site?
RSPCA NSW contact details are Tel.- 02 9770 7555 email.- mail@rspcansw.org.au
I shall email them and let readers know any response that I receive. Maybe others can make inquiries.
