I apologise for not having updated recently, but I have been unwell. The situation at Camp Kitty has changed somewhat. I have been informed that there are now only 3 cats left in the shed (1 died) and the solitary cat is still imprisoned in its pen. It survived last winter and now the nights are getting much colder here I have concerns for its survival. It has had absolutely no companionship in the last year, apart from maybe a 5 minute daily visit from the caretaker to give it food and water. He did say that it makes a noise so much because it is lonely!. Camp Kitty now has no electricity. The supply was cut off the other day, so the premises are now totally unsuited for having any cats there. The resident caretaker has said that he will be leaving in the next day or two and without any electricity that is hardly surprising. The situation looks very bleak now for these remaining animals. I hope to write to the Chief Inspector of the RSPCA very soon and advise him of the situation, and also to advise him that I can find good homes for any of the poor creatures. If any of you can find the time to contact the RSPCA NSW and ask them to save these cats please email them on mail@rspcansw.org.au or phone 02 9770 7555 There have been some attempts of late from the RSPCA to restore its credibility so maybe they may be more amenable to `doing the right thing’ by these animals. Regards Keith
