After his interview on the John Laws Show on 7 March 2017, Richard McCudden, the convicted animal abuser, has turned up back at Cowra. Since the radio interview, a number of persons including a Debt Collector has turned up at Camp Kitty looking for him. Unfortunately no one is able to meet with him because the access gate to the property is chained and locked, and McCudden only tends to come to Camp Kitty very late at night and leave early in the morning. I feel it is important for any cat owners in Cowra or the near vicinity of keep a very close watch on the movements of their pet cats. McCudden has stated on many occasions that he saves strays, and I am sure you do not want your pet to be saved by this man if it becomes a temporary stray! I have not spoken with anyone yet who has had a stray returned to them. When there was a public protest meeting over a year ago regarding the activities at Camp Kitty several people thought they recognised some of the cats wandering in the Camp Kitty yard. McCudden did not allow the Council Ranger access to check the micro chipping of those poor animals. This was when the RSPCA NSW was declaring that `there were no welfare issues’. So if you see a man in painters overalls (usually off white in colour) driving a white people mover type van, possibly a Toyota Torago, check the whereabouts of your pet. It could end up being classified as a stray by McCudden and being saved by McCudden, to be taken to a totally unsuitable place never to be seen again!
