On Sunday afternoon, 8-1-17, we observed that the remaining cats at Camp Kitty were being fed by the owner Richard McCudden By Tuesday afternoon we were concerned about the cats welfare. They had been howling for some time, and we had not noticed any sign that they had been fed or watered since Sunday. We called out, then went to the house, knocked and there was no answer It was noticed that there was no food for them but some water. We provided some food. The cats looked extremely hungry. I tried to call the RSPCA NSW cruelty no, but there was no answer. I then phoned Cowra Police and they gave me another RSPCA no to phone. Again no answer I again phoned the Police, and was told that they would phone the RSPCA. I also phoned Cowra Council and left a message, as the section that deals with Ranger inquiries was closed for the day. By this time I felt frustrated with the problems of getting a cruelty issue dealt with. Remember it is only a few weeks ago when Richard was convicted of cruelty charges and I thought that the Police may have been very concerned about breaches of Court Orders. To cover all the possible issues and evasions regarding what I had done I put the details in an email and forwarded it to the RSPCA. Today I received an email from the RSPCA advising me that it was being treated as a cruelty issue. Early this morning (Wednesday) we noticed a white van or ute at Camp Kitty. It was in a position so that we could not readily identify it. It may have been someone to feed the cats or the RSPCA Inspector. Overseas reader please be aware that daytime temperatures are now in the mid thirties and by Friday it is forecast to be 41C. The photo I publish today is the same one that I took about three years ago and was the lead photo for this petition. The same scenario is in place to start it all happening again! WHAT CAN I DO TO STOP THIS RE HAPPENING, HUNGRY ANIMALS, ONE DIES, WHAT THEN?
