Dear Readers, below is part of a letter I sent to the RSPCA NSW three days ago. I wonder if I will get any reply to this letter? I also wonder if an Inspector ever attended Camp Kitty after I have now submitted another cruelty complaint. Did they attend, or did they simply phone up Richard and ask him to feed and water his cats?
Can anyone find out, as it is so difficult for me to get any answers from them?
RSPCA NSW contact details are Tel no - 02 9770 7555 and Email Address is mail@rspcansw.org.au
(the photo above is an old one when I was being assured that there were `no welfare issues'!)
Dear Anna, I thank you for your email concerning the reporting of a cruelty issue at Camp Kitty.
I would ask if you could please pass the following message on to Steve Coleman, CEO?
Dear Steve Coleman,
I have recently reported a cruelty case to the RSPCA and I attach below a letter I have published on my change.org site, Tell the RSPCA NSW that this is cruel! concerning latest possible cruelty issues.
You will be aware that I have been very critical of the way the RSPCA NSW has operated.
I ask why you are not more informative to the general public of the actions you take and the results that you achieve? Take my latest information I have sent you, will your organisation be able to tell me the outcome of the Inspector's visit?
I also ask why you do not respond to letters that are written to you that are very pertinent to protecting animals from abuse? For instance I would now ask if you would respond to the letter written on 12th April 14 concerning the concealment of information sent to your Board of Directors? Did the Board ever receive that letter, as we have never had a response!
If we did decide to send another letter to the Board could we have an assurance that the Board Members would receive it?
I do hope you can take this opportunity to be open and frank with your anticipated response.
It would be very pleasing to me if I was able to say good things about an organisation that I have been a member of for many years.
Unfortunately there have also been many very negative comments from lapsed RSPCA members and volunteers published on my change.org site and also from many who now say that they will not make their wills out in favour of your organisation. Please take the time to clear the air and assure everyone that has ever supported your organisation that things will change for the better! I do believe that there are many who feel that the RSPCA has become preoccupied with raising money and not doing enough to assist and prevent the cruelty towards animals.
Regards, Keith Climpson
