Thank you all for signing! Two things: 1. Starting tomorrow night promptly at 7pm (November 21st), there will be a community meeting at Oliver Beach Elementary School. I cannot attach a photo of the agenda, but it is available on the NextDoor app and the Bay Country Association Facebook Page. Hopefully, I will be able to make it home on time from work. If not, Melissa Harris will be there and taking charge. She has been on top of things! 2. I received a reply from Cathy Bevins this morning. Here it is: "Hello Mr. Karabetis, Councilwoman Cathy Bevins has read your email and asked me to respond. The councilwoman is well aware of the most recent accident on Harewood Road and understands the impact to the community because there is only one way in and out to your neighborhood and the loss of power. In the recent past the councilwoman asked Public Works to install a rail, this was declined and signage and reflective tape were added. A request to BGE was also made to move the pole and this was also declined. The Councilwoman has sent another request to the Director of Public Works requesting a guardrail or other action for this location. Additionally she is meeting with the Director of Public Works and the Chief of Traffic engineering this week to discuss this further. Thank you for contacting Councilwoman Bevins. Please do not hesitate contacting our office with any concern, Cathy is always happy to provide assistance. Regards, Doris" 3. Kathy Szeliga also reached out on Facebook a short while ago. I'll be e-mailing her in a moment to see what she has to say. Again, thank you all for the assistance! It seems like the delegates are starting to take us seriously. This is great! Emmanuel
