"Hello neighbors, As promised, I meet with The Director of Public Works as well as the Chief of Traffic Engineering today regarding the accidents on Harewood Road. I once again made a strong argument for the county to install a guardrail at the bend. In addition to discussing the impact of no one being able to get out or in and the loss of power, I discussed the very real concern of emergency vehicles not getting through to the communities if needed. I am happy to report I was successful in making the argument and they will make the investigation of installing a guardrail a top priority investigation and will expand the scope of the review. This expansion of scope must also involve the CSX railroad, as the access road to the track would have to be moved. Finally, I will be meeting with BGE regarding the moving of the pole as well the Baltimore County Emergency Response agency. I feel strongly that the response agency should weigh in on this issue and be made aware of the implications of this situation. The Director of Public Works will also be at this meeting.
