The Issue

Since the new national lottery provider took over from Camelot, I've noticed a significant decline in winnings, both from personal experience and through various discussions with local shopkeepers. No one seems to win anything substantial anymore. It used to be a dream to win even a small amount like £10, but now that seems nearly impossible.

I've been reading articles and speaking with business owners who mirror my concerns—they're hardly paying out anything compared to the past. This change has shortchanged the general public, who play the lottery with hopes and dreams of winning. It's supposed to be a game of chance that contributes positively to community projects, but if the payouts have drastically reduced, what are the real chances left for the average person? And what about those community initiatives relying on this funding?

The lack of transparency and the decrease in winnings need immediate attention. It's time to hold the new provider accountable and reconsider their role. Reinstate a fair system where winnings are achievable so the public can continue to dream and benefit from the lottery. The lottery should once again be something that people can look forward to as a genuine chance to enhance their lives.

Urge the relevant authorities to investigate the practices of the new provider and ensure the national lottery serves its purpose authentically and fairly. Please sign this petition to restore fairness in our national lottery system.
