The community of Rathcoole, Saggart & Newcastle has been promised a new school building for Holy Family Community School for almost 20 years. Planning permission was finally granted in 2016. Delay after delay. Promise after promise broken by politicians and councilors who do not care about the young people of this community. Well, the students and parents of this community will not stand idly by while the educational needs of so many children will be adversely affected. 

The current school was built to accommodate 550 students.  It now has 986 students!  A builder has been appointed to the project and is ready to start the build! The villages of Rathcoole, Saggart & Newcastle have a combined population of 18,404 at the last census in 2022. ONE secondary school to serve that population, with more houses being built week after week. Where are the children in these houses supposed to go to school?
