I, along with many others, frequently use the Crystal Palace Campsite as a means of visiting relatives in the area. This place holds memories and serves a purpose that extends beyond just its surface. It acts as a bonding point, a gathering site for families, and a haven for travelers needing a comfortable, familiar place to repose.

The recent decision to close the Crystal Palace Campsite has significant implications. The site not only provides affordable accommodation for visitors like me but also has an economic impact on the local community. Currently, there aren't any other comparable options in the vicinity, creating a consequential disruption for users and businesses alike.

It is crucial to understand that the campsite is more than just a functional entity. It is a part of our community's fabric, a familiar landscape amidst our ever-changing lives. Let's urge the relevant authorities to reconsider this decision by bringing to light its real-life implications. It has been in existence for 73 years and attracts people from all over the UK and Europe to visit London and relatives and friends in the area.  It is unobtrusive and barely visible from the rest of the park or roadside.  It has been leased to the Motorhome and Caravan Club so brings money into the park trustees and is open to everyone not just members, and attracts tent campers as well especially for the various music venues held in the park.
