REVERSE 3/10 YEAR BAN
REVERSE 3/10 YEAR BAN
The Issue
Right now in the United States there is not much hope that an immigration reform is on the way, especially for those of us (myself included) who are married to undocumented immigrants. I would like you to please do all you can to revise or all together reverse the 3/10 year ban for immigrants married to United States Citizens. This law is unfairly separating families and children. It causes many families the loss of income due to the denied entry of their spouses. The affect of the 10 year ban is heartbreaking and causing much unnecessary harm, such as divorces, financial hardships, and extreme emotional trauma for both the immigrant and the spouses and children left behind. This law is not serving the public’s best interest and puts an unfair strain on American Families. I beg you to do all that you can to change this law soon. Do not wait another 10 years, it hurts too many people. As for me I am 42 and finally met my soul mate. I have two children that he has taken on as his own and been a wonderful role model for them. Beside the fact that I miss him dearly, so do my kids. This is my first marriage and fear that I will not be able to live with the only man that ever treated me like a woman and finally live out my “American Dream” life. The last 6 years not only have a found a man that I am proud to call my husband, I have found a friend, my children have found a father, and I finally have a family. Please help out the many families that are suffering. Your support is greatly appreciated.
