Kansas City is a vibrant, supportive community with a rich and storied sports tradition. We cheer for our teams with unmatched passion and dedication, as evident by the success and fervor behind our beloved Chiefs and Royals. However, there's one piece missing in our otherwise impeccable sporting tapestry: an NBA team.

The Kansas City Kings graced our city with incredible games and unforgettable memories until they were relocated in 1985. Since then, Kansas City has grown exponentially, both in size and cultural significance. We host numerous major events, such as the NFL draft and have seen a renaissance in arts, entertainment, and infrastructure in the last few years becoming an even more attractive city for major sports franchises. Last but not least, we are preparing to host the World Cup.

Our enthusiastic basketball fan base deserves a team to cheer for, and the city possesses the resources and infrastructure to support it. We have the T-Mobile Center, a state-of-the-art arena that is more than capable of hosting basketball games, proven as we host the Big 12 college basketball tournament and providing a fantastic game-day experience for fans and teams alike and potentially a second home available at the Hy-Vee arena and or the soon to be empty Arrowhead stadium.

To spark the conversation and put Kansas City back on the NBA map, we need to show strong community support and commitment.
