For over 30 years, thousands of our jobs have been shipped to foreign countries each year. We have only a fraction of the jobs needed to enable families to get by. Under the best-case scenario, it will be years before there are enough jobs for all who need one. Until then, we must start helping - not punishing - ordinary Americans who have exhausted all their options. We need a legitimate, non-punitive welfare entitlement.
