Restore the South Yemen emoji

Restore the South Yemen emoji
The Issue
We are the sons of South Arabia and the signator below, demanding the restoration of our country flag as official emojis on the Unicode list. In recent years, the flag of South Arabia (representing the people of Free South Yemen) has been available as an unofficial emoji on some applications and platforms, but has suddenly disappeared, without any explanation from Unicode or technology companies. The unjustified exclusion of a national symbol that expresses millions of southerners around the world. The flag of South Arabia is more than just a picture; It represents history, identity, and the struggle of a people who seek to determine their destiny in peace. Thousands of accounts and pages use it, and millions of southerners demand the world's recognition of their existence, and this is their most basic rights. Unicode has previously adopted the flags of many non-independent entities, such as the flag of Catalonia, the flag of Scotland, and others. How is the South Arab flag, which has a great popular, historical and political presence, is ignored? We ask you: to include the flag of South Arabia in the list of flags in Unicode. Or provide an official clarification of the reasons for rejection/removal, if any. Digital justice starts with recognizing the identity of peoples, and no people should be deprived of their right to represent themselves even in the digital space.
