The once-spectacular Hetch Hetchy Valley in Yosemite National Park is hidden under 300 feet of water. A twin to the famous Yosemite Valley, Hetch Hetchy Valley was flooded early last century, becoming a giant,billion-gallon water tank.  Hetch Hetchy Valley can be restored while San Francisco and other communities keep their supply of electricity and pure water.

We, the undersigned, agree with John Muir, the "Father of our National Parks," that Hetch Hetchy Valley in Yosemite National Park "is a grand landscape garden, one of Nature's rarest and most precious mountain temples." Therefore, we petition the Secretary of the Interior to support the restoration of Hetch Hetchy Valley.
