This Petition comes after Hon. Lazarus Nangolo, Oranjemund constituency councillor made a proposal, citing that The residents of Oranjemund are proposing that //Kharas region be split into two regions,  While no consultation was done with the community of Oranjemund Community including the entirety of the Great //Kharas region.

The residents hereby condemn this proposal.

When was the Oranjemund Constituency residents consulted? Where are meeting minutes? Where is the notice of proposal?

It is imperative that we take a stance against false community representation by leaders, who make decisions that are only beneficial to them. 

//Kharas Region has such a small population yet we are overlooked when any opportunity arises.

We will not stand Idle and let our Great //Kharas Region be destroyed by Leaders who do not have the interest of Native people at heart.

We refuse to be miss-represented on such a platform and with decisions of such great magnitude.

We as residents of disapprove this proposal. We stand together to make sure that this proposal be disregarded with immediate effect.
