For over a decade and a half, I've used DeviantArt as a way to present my artwork to an audience of likeminded artists and creatives. These days, however, there has been a tidal wave of ai generated images and media swamping the site. 

While there is an option of filtering out ai generated media, it relies on the people posting to self-disclose that the media is ai generated. The massive amount of ai slop that comes through that filter untagged is more than anyone should have to deal with. Currently, there is an option for reporting untagged ai images that are for sale, but not for general images, and very little has actually been done regarding those.

If DeviantArt is serious about making sure the site is friendly to actual artists, there needs to be real repercussion for those people who don't tag ai generated media as ai. There also needs to be real ways for those of us who've used and loved the site for years can continue to use it without the constant inundation of ai slop.
