Over the years, we have seen politicians voice support for entering wars in foreign countries, often without considering the grave risk borne by our fellow citizens. The idea that politicians, secure in their offices, should risk the lives of innocent Britons in wars they champion, yet not partake in themselves, is deeply unsettling.
