Request to Exclude Unit 4 from Main Test

The Issue

As a dedicated student at the Central  University of Technology in the Free State in Bloemfontein, South Africa, I am reaching out to address a pressing issue concerning our upcoming test. That is to be written  on the 18/09/2026. Despite being a crucial part of our curriculum, unit 4 has neither been covered in our physical nor online classes by the lecturer. This lack of instruction leaves students unprepared and anxious about being evaluated on content we have not been taught.

Education is meant to be a fair and equitable process, where students are evaluated on the material they have had the opportunity to learn and understand. The inclusion of Unit 4 in the test goes against this principle, as the topics have not been discussed or explored in any of our sessions. This situation is not only unfair but also demotivating for students who strive for excellence in their academic pursuits.

I kindly urge the academic authorities and the lecturer responsible to consider removing any questions related to Unit 4 from the Main Test. This step would ensure that the evaluation reflects the material covered in lectures, maintaining the integrity of the testing process and the fairness students deserve.

By signing this petition, you stand with the students of Bloemfontein in advocating for a just academic environment. Let us ensure that assessments are a true reflection of what has been taught. Sign to support this cause and make a difference in our educational journey.
