Request Pearson and UAT to investigate the October 2025 TMUA assessment process

The Issue

The October 2025 Test of Mathematics for University Admission (TMUA), a critical examination for many aspiring students, has raised substantial concern among examinees and their families. Some candidates who took the exam in October 2025 have reported being affected by spuriously low test scores. These scores being drastically lower than anticipated, despite extensive preparation and prior success in past papers (candidates expecting scores of 7,8,9’s receiving 2,3,4’s is a major anomaly and of deep concern).

Additionally, numerous reports indicate that the integrity of the test was compromised due to leaks and a significant data breach, calling into question the general probity, fairness and accuracy of the test process.

For these students, their future academic careers hang in the balance, as some select universities rely on TMUA scores to make admissions decisions. The discrepancy between preparation and performance has led to strong suspicions that the scoring and assessment process was flawed or potentially corrupted for some very unfortunate candidates.

Pearson and UAT have a responsibility to uphold the standards of fairness and accuracy in their examinations. As such, it is essential that they undertake a thorough, independent investigation into these claims. This investigation should include an audit of the scoring process for these candidates and input from affected students and educators.

Furthermore, a clear and transparent report on the findings should be published, ensuring that all stakeholders are aware of the steps being taken to rectify any discovered irregularities. In the event of confirmed discrepancies, affected students should be offered opportunities for re-assessment or alternative measures to ensure their academics are not unjustly impacted.

Join us in urging Pearson and UAT to take immediate action to investigate and address these critical concerns. Sign this petition to demand accountability and fairness for all students impacted by this exam's compromised integrity.
