Request neighbour in Dalmuir to cut down overgrown trees

Request neighbour in Dalmuir to cut down overgrown trees
The Issue
I am writing this petition to address a concern that has been affecting my daily life and the lives of fellow residents in our neighbourhood in Dalmuir, Clydebank. My neighbour has planted approximately 30 young trees in her small back garden, and these trees have now grown to a size where they protrude through my fence, creating an unsightly mess and blocking much-needed sunlight from entering my property.
This issue is not only affecting me, but it's also a common concern among several other tenants in our community. The dense foliage from these trees diminishes the aesthetic appeal of our neighbourhood and creates an unbalanced ecosystem in our immediate surroundings. Our gardens are places where we should be able to relax and enjoy, yet the presence of these overgrown trees has unfortunately turned them into spaces of avoidance rather than enjoyment.
We are not seeking to create conflict or animosity. Instead, we suggest a partnership with our neighbour to address this issue amicably. We propose that the trees be trimmed significantly or removed, with the possibility of planting more suitable greenery that can coexist harmoniously with the surrounding area. This collaborative approach could bring back the neighbourhood's charm while respecting everyone's rights to enjoy their own spaces.
Additionally, trimming or removing these trees can prevent potential legal issues related to property boundary encroachments and can help maintain good relations between neighbours. Professional tree surgeons can offer services in tree pruning or removal, ensuring that this is done safely and environmentally consciously.
We believe that by collaborating with our neighbour, we can find a balance that suits everyone involved and enhances the beauty of our neighbourhood. Please support this petition to urge our neighbour to take necessary action to restore the harmony and enjoyment of our gardens.
Sign this petition to support a respectful dialogue towards a greener, and more pleasant Dalmuir community.
