The Issue

Perry Eugene Davis Sr., a beloved member of our community, was convicted of a crime he was told, even during trial, that he did not commit. Davis was sentenced to double life and no parole. Serving over 25+ years he continued to fight for his name. Davis made parole 2024 and died at the hands of Jessup correctional in January 2025. It is time to rectify this grave injustice and restore his good name. His case must be reopened and thoroughly reexamined to ensure justice is served. It is imperative that the legal system corrects this oversight and honors the integrity of an innocent man.

Compounding this injustice is the medical malpractice at Jessup Correctional Institution that tragically contributed to Perry Davis Sr.'s untimely death. Proper medical care could have preserved his life, allowing him to be with his family today. We demand a comprehensive investigation into the mistreatment and neglect he endured, and we call for accountability for those responsible.

This petition seeks justice for Perry "Elder," ensuring that his legacy is not tarnished by false accusations and the negligence he suffered. By signing this petition, you join us in demanding that Perry's case be reopened, reviewed with integrity, and that the necessary corrective actions are taken. Let us unite in pursuit of truth and justice, proving that justice can prevail, even posthumously. Stand with us and sign this petition to make your voice heard.
