Remove Religious Extremist From Umass Boston

Remove Religious Extremist From Umass Boston
The Issue
This religious extremist has been coming to Umass Boston since 2018 and spreading hateful messages to students, disrupting their peace and ability to feel welcomed at this university. This man stands at campus and yells racist and homophobic messages at students as they walk by to class. He claims that "Jews, Muslims, Trans, Gay, etc. are all going to hell." This should be considered hate speech and therefore not allowed on campus.
Hate speech is defined as "any form of expression to incite hatred against a group of people based on race, religion, skin color, sexual identity, gender identity, ethnicity, etc." and is a form of microaggression toward the students.
Umass Boston is said to be one of the most diverse, LGBT+ friendly school in the nation. Then why is this guy allowed on campus? Since we are a public university, the school allows speakers to come to campus to "protect the 1st amendment". This seems like injustice toward the students of our school for making them feel uncomfortable, offended, or discriminated against. It also sends a message that Umass Boston does not value the mental wellbeing of their students by allowing him to continually harass us.
Students should feel welcome at this university and not discriminated against for their religion/ethnicity/sexual orientation/gender identity/ANY life choices we make!!
