Yet, amongst these positive contributions, there remain accounts that damage the very essence of this inclusivity. One such account, @pixietheranter, has repeatedly violated TikTok's community guidelines by mocking the LGBTQ+ community and making light of suicide.

Mocking or making derogatory comments about the LGBTQ+ community undermines the struggles, rights, and fights for acceptance that people in this community face daily. According to the Human Rights Campaign, LGBTQ+ youth are more than twice as likely as their peers to report being harassed. This kind of inflammatory content only perpetuates the cycle of bullying and discrimination.

More alarmingly, the jokes and disregard for the issue of suicide promote a dangerous narrative. The World Health Organization states that approximately 703,000 people die by suicide every year. It is a leading cause of death worldwide, especially among young people. Making jokes about such a serious issue can deeply affect individuals struggling with suicidal thoughts, potentially driving them towards making irreversible decisions.

TikTok has a responsibility to ensure its environment is safe and supportive for all users. By removing content creators who spread harm, TikTok will demonstrate its commitment to community guidelines and the well-being of its users.
