Melody Hlatshwayo, the councillor of Ward 80 in Rabie Ridge, Midrand, is not serving the community as she should. Expectations from our community leaders are to ensure the betterment and development of our area. However, this has not been the reality under Hlatshwayo's leadership.

Despite numerous community complaints over services for Rabie Ridge Ext,1,4 and 5 very few have reached completion, leaving residents in a constant state of waiting and frustration. Streetlights remain broken, potholes are widespread, and essential maintenance on community facilities is neglected. These are not just inconveniences; they affect the everyday lives of every person calling this place home.

Transparency and communication from our councillor have been minimal. Meetings are regularly postponed without reason, and promises made are unfulfilled, leaving the community feeling neglected and voiceless. According to municipal budget reports, funds have been allocated to address these issues, yet the impact is not being felt by the constituents.

 This is a clear indicator that the residents of Rabie Ridge Ext 1,4 and 5 demand change and accountability.

We propose that Melody Hlatshwayo be removed from her position ASAP .Ensuring the community is represented by a more dedicated and transparent leader is essential. A new election should be held so that a capable and willing candidate can take over the responsibilities and drive positive change within Ward 80.
