The Issue

As a dedicated member of the Phi Kappa Theta Fraternity, Pi Chapter, I have always believed in the brotherhood's ideals of fostering unity and constructive dialogue. However, I find myself deeply concerned about the behavior of some of our members, George Kolb and Daniel Crow, who has been using their Slack chat privileges not to unite us but to sow seeds of discord.

Our fraternity prides itself on being a safe space where ideas and information can flow freely, helping each member grow both personally and collectively. Unfortunately, George Kolb and Daniel Crow’s misuse of Slack has threatened this atmosphere. Instead of serving as a means of sharing important information or uplifting our brotherhood, the platform has become a battleground for misinformation and antagonistic discourse that only breeds division and mistrust among us.

Multiple incidents have shown George and Daniel’s unwillingness to adhere to values we hold dear. Their comments have not only spread falsehoods but have actively promoted tension and discomfort. This behavior is in stark contrast to our mission of promoting a positive and supportive fraternity experience for all.

Given this serious breach of fraternity ethics, I urge the leadership of the Phi Kappa Theta Fraternity's Pi Chapter to revoke George Kolb’ and Daniel Crow’s Slack chat privileges. Such a decisive action is necessary to restore integrity to our communication channels and ensure they align with the principles of respect and fraternity we must uphold.

By removing their ability to use Slack for these purposes, we can restore a harmonious and collegial environment within our chapter, reflective of our commitment to truth and brotherhood. I believe this step is not just beneficial, but necessary, for the long-term cohesion and positive spirit of Phi Kappa Theta.
