Remove AVX2 hardware requirement in Alan Wake II game!

The Issue

Dear Remedy Entertainment,

As an enthusiast of computer games, I would like to draw your attention to the increasingly common hardware restrictions imposed by producers of new games. Specifically, I would like to highlight the requirement for a processor supporting AVX2 instructions.

I understand that technology is advancing, but currently, there are many high-performance processors equipped with AVX instructions that still meet the requirements of modern games. Introducing restrictions that exclude older yet still efficient platforms seems unnecessary and frustrating for a broad range of consumers.

We kindly request you to consider these issues from the perspective of the gaming community, which is diverse in terms of hardware and would like to enjoy modern productions without the need for significant hardware upgrades. As you well know, creating a version of the game for AVX would take 5 minutes and require the creation of an additional executable file.

If my 9-year-old platform (Xeon E5-1680 v2 with RTX 4070 Ti) can smoothly handle Cyberpunk 2077 at the highest settings, including Patch-Tracing and 4K resolution, achieving 40-60FPS, I don't understand why it wouldn't be capable of running Alan Wake II.

Thank you for taking our opinions into account and considering the request for greater openness to the hardware diversity of the gaming community.
