We, the residents and taxpayers of Florida, are saying NO to putting license-plate readers and surveillance cameras on every corner or any placement to start with of our communities .

We believe in public safety — but we also believe in freedom, privacy, and the right to live our lives without having our movements constantly monitored.

Our neighborhoods should not become surveillance zones.

Systems and companies including Flock Safety, Axon, and Leonardo/ELSAG  or ANY ALRP should be subject to meaningful public oversight wherever their technology is used.

Protect residential privacy and prevent misuse of surveillance data.

Unnecessary tracking of residents' movements.

Searches unrelated to legitimate law-enforcement purposes.

Unauthorized access to ALPR information.

Sharing information with agencies or organizations without appropriate safeguards.

Retaining information longer than necessary.

Using surveillance technology for purposes unrelated to its stated public-safety purpose.

We don't need a license-plate reader on every corner to be safe this is our FREEDOM.
