The American people are struggling. Layoffs, rising prices, and the lasting financial toll of tariffs and economic instability have left many families barely getting by. In the midst of this hardship, it is unacceptable for the President of the United States to accept a lavish $400 million luxury jet from a foreign monarchy to use as Air Force One.

This isn’t just wasteful, it’s offensive. It sends the wrong message to Americans who expect accountability and modesty from their leaders, not extravagance and entitlement. Worse still, this so-called gift is reportedly set to be transferred to Trump’s presidential library foundation, raising serious ethical and constitutional questions.

This jet is not just an airplane. It’s a symbol of foreign influence, unchecked power, and misplaced priorities. Accepting it may violate the Emoluments Clause of the Constitution, which prohibits gifts from foreign governments without congressional approval. And yet, there is every indication the administration is moving forward with the deal anyway.

We call on Congress, the Department of Defense, and the Department of Justice to immediately halt any plans to accept this jet and investigate all legal and ethical concerns surrounding it. We must not allow a luxury aircraft to become the face of American leadership.

Tell the Trump administration: this gift is not welcome. We demand better.
