🚨 Benbrook Neighbors – Tomorrow Night is Critical! 🚨 Save Mary’s Creek
The City Council Meeting is Thursday, August 21 at 7:00 PM at Benbrook City Hall. This is the MOST IMPORTANT vote yet on the rezoning of the Rowan Ranch property.
We need a massive turnout to show City Council that our community opposes this risky floodplain development, not to mention the zoning is just not compatible with surrounding areas..
✅ Goal: 500 people in attendance (right now, only ~45 have said they’re coming on Facebook). Every single body in that room matters.
✅ Wear GREEN to show unity in opposition.
✅ Stand up and be counted. Even if you don’t want to make a speech, you can simply go to the podium, state your name and address, and say you oppose the rezoning.
✅ Stay as long as you can. Some have asked how long the meeting might go—it could be a while. But even if you can only stay an hour, that’s okay. What matters is showing up, being counted, and making our presence undeniable.
This is a huge decision that will affect our safety, our floodplains, and our community for decades. Let’s pack that room. 💪
