  • Notice/Update: (Rowan Ranch development at behind Mary's Creek)
  • Mr. Waldrop (the developer) is requesting a do over! For Zoning and Planning Commission to rehear his rezoning and development plan. Request will be heard this Thursday Nov 14th 7pm Benbrook City Hall! 911 Winscott Rd. 
  • He formally withdrew before it went to a final vote at City Council. And wants to try again.
  • Stating ordinance 17.12.030 which limits resubmittal for 12 months on same application. Unless "Provided, however, on receipt of a request stating how conditions have changed substantially within the community since the prior denial with prejudice or withdrawal, the planning and zoning commission may waive the mandatory delay period and authorize the acceptance of a new application."
  • I am not sure what has changed. He is stating that the engineers have done the Flood Study in less than 2 months and he had a meeting with the neighborhood. This study FEMA hasn't finished in 4+ years!! And I was at the neighborhood meeting and public sentiment hasn't changed.
  • What is being discussed Thursday?
    • This is not a public hearing and they are only voting on if to allow Mr. Waldrop to resubmit his' application for consideration and voted on at a future Public hearing with Zoning Commission. (restart the process basically.)
    • While this is not a public hearing it is open to the public. And public comments will be heard.
    • Remember when we started, I told you this will be a long battle. If you can come please do and wear green.
