It is unacceptable that at UOW the majority of the languages have been cut entirely or reduced to solely a minor.  This decision has profound implications not only for current language students but also for the future of the university as a global institution. 

The ability to speak multiple languages at a fluent level is an indispensable and critical  skill in our increasingly interconnected world and push for international careers.  Removing these options not only limits academic opportunities but also diminishes the global competitiveness of UOW graduates.

We ask that UOW reconsider this decision and ensure the sustainability of language programs by reinstating a third year of languages.
