Reinstate the Smoking Section and Terminate the Responsible Decision-Maker

The Issue

We are a community of season ticket holders and casual game attendees brought together by our enjoyment of the sport of Hockey. However, we find ourselves facing an issue that impedes our ability to fully appreciate it. The area which was previously allocated for smoking has been closed off without proper explanation, affecting both regular attendees and occasional visitors. This decision has been made even more frustrating by the fact that this public facility has restricted us from using the public exits, compromising our freedom of movement.

It is vital to understand that in a 2015 study by the American Cancer Society, they found that 15% of the US population are smokers. By denying a smoking area, not only is the decision limiting the rights of a significant portion of attendees, it is also likely discouraging them from attending games altogether, thus impacting the revenues and reputation of the facility.

We are not asking for a reversal of the policy that protects non-smokers from second-hand smoke; we simply want our previous smoking area back, where we can freely enjoy our pastime without causing harm or discomfort to others. As such, we strongly believe that the individual responsible for the decision to shut down the smoking section should be held accountable.

It is crucial that we stand up for our rights and request a review of this decision. By signing this petition, you're urging the responsible officials to reconsider and reinstate the smoking section, as well as demand the dismissal of the person who implemented this unwelcome change. Please sign this petition and let your voices be heard.
