I have poured three years of my hard work into my Etsy shop, earning rave reviews from satisfied customers and worthwhile customer service badges. Unfortunately, my account was suspended by Etsy, citing their creativity policy. This has not only happened to me, but it's an issue that many Etsy sellers in India are facing. Furthermore, no new sellers are being permitted from India, detrimentally affecting our ability to do business on a global platform.

Etsy's unclear policies towards sellers put the livelihoods of many of us at stake. The facts are clear: Etsy hosts over 4.3 million active sellers (Source: Etsy Q2 2021 Results). Out of these millions, a significant number come from India, a country known for its richness in handmade goods, crafting, and original artistry.

The current situation not only prohibits Indian sellers from flourishing, but it also bars potential new sellers from joining the platform. As members of a global community, we call for clarity, transparency, and fairness in the Etsy experience for all sellers. We demand that suspended Indian seller accounts be reinstated and that Etsy opens its doors for new sellers from India.
