We are calling on Chavez High School administration to reinstate Coach Sarabia as the head of the Girls Soccer Program.

Coach Sarabia has been more than just a coach —he’s been a mentor, a supporter, and a fierce advocate for our team. He’s shown up for us, believed in us, and helped shape us into stronger athletes and better people. It is puzzling that the merits of his commitment have been overlooked in the decision to discontinue his role as a coach. His removal from the program feels not only unfair, but underserved.

Our record at the 6A level may not be perfect, but success isn’t just measured by wins. It’s measured by the environment we play in, the growth we experience, and the leadership we receive. And Coach Sarabia has always provided that.

What’s more frustrating is that struggles in competition aren’t unique to our team — they affect many of our school’s athletic programs. Singling out Coach Sarabia does not address the systemic issues and only punishes someone who has continued to give his all to this program.

We deserve answers. We deserve fairness. And most importantly, we deserve to keep a coach who truly has our best interest at heart.
