My dad's grave was one of those vandalized—sentimental items taken and smashed. This heart-wrenching act left our family and many others in deep distress. Unfortunately, incidents of vandalism at Kings Norton Cemetery are not isolated. These acts of disrespect and destruction caused real pain to all families who have buried their loved ones there. 

We must act now to protect the sanctity of Kings Norton Cemetery by ensuring that such incidents are prevented in the future. One of the viable solutions to curb these unfortunate events is to reinstall CCTV cameras properly around the cemetery premises.

Without any adequate surveillance, vandals have repeatedly targeted our cemetery, leaving a trail of damage and sorrow. Reinstalling CCTV will not only deter these heinous acts but will also assist in capturing and prosecuting those responsible, providing justice for affected families.

Moreover, a properly maintained CCTV system serves as a powerful signal to the community that we care about preserving the dignity of our loved ones' final resting place. By reinstating surveillance, we can ensure that Kings Norton Cemetery remains a space of respect, reflection, and safety.

We urge the Birmingham City Council to prioritize the reinstallation of CCTV cameras at Kings Norton Cemetery. It is imperative to act before more families have to endure the anguish of senseless vandalism.
