Me and my friends have dreams of furthering our education and expanding our horizons by studying in Italy. Unfortunately, the "BLS Italy" organization responsible for booking visa appointments is showing nothing but negligence towards their duty. Their appointment booking system remains outdated and corrupt, with no guidance offered on their website.

The appointment slot schedule, rather than being shared transparently with students, is given to educational consultants. These corrupt consultants are given the power to allocate time slots, a system that favors them and overlooks the needs of prospective students like us. This lack of transparency and the evident corruption within this process is unbelievably disheartening for those of us who aspire to study abroad.

This obsolete and corruption-ridden system does not befit an organization tasked with such an important duty. Prospective students should not be left at the mercy of these so-called educational consultants, but should instead have direct access to appointment scheduling.

We must urgently petition for a review and ensuing reform of the appointment booking system of "BLS Italy" in Pakistan. We call upon the relevant authorities in Italy, especially, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Education to overhaul this system and replace it with one that is fair, unbiased, transparent, and user-friendly. Such a system should have the wellbeing of students at its heart, rather than the vested interests of educational consultants.
