Immediate action is needed to prevent a whole new generation from becoming reliant on the drug nicotine.

When looking at the Smokefree Environments and Regulated Products Act 1990, vapes are available from any distributor that notifies the ministry of health that they are selling e-cigarettes.

This allows vapes to be readily available to teens with our research showing that most teens purchase a vape from a Dairy or get it from their underaged peers.

The aim is to change this law to e-cigarettes only being available per valid prescription. As this lowers the rate of vapes available to the younger generation and is proven to work in lowering teen vape usage within Australian society.
