🐾 Let’s Keep Archer Road Safe for Everyone

Hi neighbours,

Our hearts are still heavy after the recent loss of two beloved pets on Archer Road — gentle reminders of how quickly things can change when speed meets our quiet, family-filled streets.

Archer Road isn’t just a through-route — it’s where kids walk to school, families ride bikes, dogs roam yards, and elders enjoy their gardens. Yet it remains signed at 80 km/h, with little warning for drivers unfamiliar with the area.

We’re asking City of Greater Shepparton Council and VicRoads to:
- ✅ **Permanently reduce the speed limit to 60 km/h**
- ✅ **Install clear signage**: *“Slow Down — Residential Area”*, *“Children & Animals Present”*
- ✅ **Increase targeted enforcement**, especially during school drop-off/pick-up times

This isn’t about restriction — it’s about respect. Respect for life, for our shared street, and for the quiet safety we all deserve.
