On January 4, 1992,Randolph was charged with first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder and first degree burglary. In a criminal session in Warren County Superior court Randolph was tried non capitally, and found guilty as charged. The This case surrounds the conspiratorial murder of Calvin Hargrove.

 He is serving time for Burglary but NC law states a person must break in to be charged of this crime however Randolph wasn't on the scene of the crime. This was based on statements and pure hear say it was never proven. Its been way to long and its time for this man to be freed. The one who was not on the scene of the crime is still behind bars while the other defendants are all free and living their lives. yes even the trigger man he is FREE!! .

Randolph is a model prisoner, follows the rules, works and pray daily, praying that he be granted clemency after serving well over 25 years for a crime he did not commit. The case was based around hear say and aggravating and mitigating factors and it seems unfair for this man to receive 2 life sentences for a crime he was not physically a part of. He was home asleep, however the conversation that had taken place with the other defendants before he went to sleep is what implicated Randolph. The other defendants went and actually committed the murder and it seems as if this is what the judge and jury based their decision to give him life. Once again the other defendant who actually broke in and killed Calvin Hargrove is FREE after receiving life.. 

Randolph was sentenced to two life sentences for the murder and burglary convictions and he has served his time for this crime. Randolph who was never at the scene and 1 of 5 other defendants is the only one still serving time. The system is corrupt and it is so unfair.
