Hello all,

Quick updates on the matter:

• Since the opening of Druk Zomsa, a few residents around the area have called to the local councils to complain and this matter has taken into further actions.
  
  
• Local council from the Department of Community Health have contacted a few of us and started to monitor the behaviour of the business (noise levels are recorded). They have also make contact with the business about their regulations and awareness.Druk Zomsa, has dropped a flyer to nearby residents regarding the recent noise disturbance and had make apology on it. As mentioned in the flyer, they have removed all outdoor music at the upper level, which was observed over the last few days.
  
  
• Even though the loud music did not continue at the upper outdoor level, loud activities (conversations, jeering, indoor karaoke and outdoor singing with instruments) still occurs over the weekend. On last Friday and Saturday, the restaurant's lights was off at midnight but activities can still be observed inside the restaurant, lower outdoor garden and upper level. Karaoke singing can still be heard at 1am (see photo: indoor setting without proper acoustic insulation) and crowds gather past 2am. Even though the noise was minimal, but the tempo and sound is quite visible when the night is quiet. 
  
  
• Noise level are mostly acceptable during dinner period from 6:00pm - 9:00pm on most days. Weekdays from Monday to Wednesday's noise level are very acceptable. The business should focus on the food business at the lower level.; and note that the outdoor space is not suitable for big crowds to gather past 11pm on all days.
  
  
• At the moment this is an on-going investigation by the council, and update will be provided they have more information comes through. (investigating the use of upstairs of the premises and liquor enforcement unit are progressing - which was updated by the officer)
