Racism in schools. Destroying our future.

Racism in schools. Destroying our future.
The issue
Students are the future of our country, which means their wellbeing should be one of our nation’s greatest priorities.
One of my teachers, aged 30+, still feels insecure from harmful words on one incident in primary school, up till this day A single racist comment damages students far beyond the moment an insult is spoken. It destroys confidence, lowers self-esteem, and discourages young people to giving things a go.
Is that not what Australia is known for? How can our nation move forward if the next generation is prevented from reaching their full potential because fear and discrimination? Our country loses the very identity it prides itself on.
THAT IS WHY YOUR SUPPORT MATTERS!!!
By signing this petition, you are giving students the courage to participate, to dream bigger, and to believe in themselves again.
Most importantly, you are investing in Australia’s future.
The cruelest thing about racism is that it attacks something a person cannot change. A student cannot change their culture, skin colour, language, or heritage. Yet racist words make them feel ashamed of who they are. Over time, those words become a permanent curse on their mind — convincing them that they will never be good enough.
No child should have to walk into a classroom feeling afraid to speak, participate, or even be themselves.
What is most heartbreaking is that racism has become so common in schools that many students suffer in silence. Some are too scared to report it. Others believe nothing will change. In many cases, racist remarks go unnoticed because they are spoken in different languages or disguised as “jokes.” But the damage is still real. Racism creates chronic stress, emotional trauma, and a loss of trust that can ripple through entire communities.
Every child deserves to feel proud of who they are. Every student deserves the chance to succeed without fear of discrimination. And every voice raised against racism brings us one step closer to a kinder, stronger, and more united country.
Sign this petition now to help make our schools fairer, safer, and more inclusive for everyone.
