Legalise nudity on Queensland beaches
Legalise nudity on Queensland beaches
The issue
Queensland is one of two Australian states that does not have any legal nude beaches.
The first nude beach in Australia was legalised in 1975 in Adelaide with other states following suit, but 44 years later Queensland still does not have any.
We call on the Queensland government to legalise nude recreation on our beaches and to self-police our movement to deal with any troublesome people.
We would like our beaches to be like Denmark’s where all bar two are clothes optional.
Nude beaches will cause an influx of tourism, especially from the UK and Europe and the US, as well as help people feel more better about their bodies.
